Project description

I photographed the teen cast during my TV commercial shoot. An After Effects Artist and I animated the ending of the spot. The concept I came up with for the ending was Instagram inspired. I only had a few minutes between takes to photograph the talent. I wanted the teens to look natural and happy. In some of the photos we pretended the teens were taking their own selfies. I used wide angle and macro lenses with a mix of natural and on set lighting. I cropped and developed all of the photos leaving them in square formats. The photos changed and we animated the logo and #hashtag for the end of the TV spot. All of my Ross Stores commercials air on national television. This commercial took place at the Santa Monica Pier, Santa Monica Beach, and in the old Carousel. I worked with the production company Art Director to set up a bohemian beach party and carnival on the beach.
